In  your English class you have been talking about the importance of travelling. Now your English teacher has asked you to write an essay.
WHY DO PEOPLE ENJOY TRAVELLING TO DIFFERENT PLACES?
Write about:
1.  learning about different cultures
2.  seeing beautiful places
3. ……..(your own idea)

Most people love travelling and visiting new places. The reason is of course learning and seeing new things as well as the fact that travelling broadens our horizons.
One of the main reasons why people travel is to explore different cultures. Visiting other countries helps them learn about other traditions and customs. They also get the chance to listen to music or taste types of food which are completely different to their own.
Another reason people enjoy travelling is because they want to see places that are different from the ones they are used to. So, for example, someone who lives in the city, would probably travel to a quiet island or the countryside and vice versa. This provides people with the pleasure of escaping routine.
Last but not least, travelling offers the opportunity of opening people’s minds to different ways of thinking. From the simple difference in manners to the way people greet each other when they meet,  travelling is the quickest way to understanding and respecting diversity.
All in all, travelling is one of the most significant experiences in people’s lives, not only because they see beautiful places or things but also because it broadens their horizons.

The fifth of  Novermber, also known as Guy Fawkes Day or Bonfire Night, begins with the events of November 5 1605 when Guy Fawkes was arrested while guarding explosives which had been placed beneath the House of Lords in the aim of assassinating King James I. To celebrate the fact that the King had survived this attack, people all around London lit bonfires. To this day, people mainly in Great Britain, celebrate the 5th November with bonfires and fireworks.
